Director of Community Engagement, Harvey Mudd College

Gabriela was named Harvey Mudd’s first Director of Community Engagement in 2013. Her office works with faculty to support and develop new service-learning courses and utilize endowed funds to expand student community engagement, such as tutoring via the free Homework Hotline for fourth-12th graders and improving computer science fluency among middle- and high-school teachers across Pomona Unified School District.

Previously, Gabriela was the Director of Upward Bound program’s Math and Science Center at Harvey Mudd; Project Director for a Title V grant to develop Hispanic-serving institutions in the Riverside Community College District; and an Adjunct Professor of Education.
